Product Overview
The O-rings are seated in a groove and compressed between two or more parts thereby creating a seal at the interface. A common cause of leakage is absence or damaged O-ring. It is the most common type of seal used in a wide range of static or dynamic applications. The O-rings are generally made up of rubber due to which it returns to its original shape on compression. It is used to prevent the fluid or air from escaping when it is compressed between two surfaces. This O-ring is made up of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), which is a type of synthetic elastomer. It is a composition of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene and can be referred as Buna Nitrile or NBR. It offers excellent sealing and mechanical properties compared to other elastomers. It has good resistance to a range of fluids, thus making it preferable for the places where the ordinary rubber cannot be used due to its reactivity with fuel, oil, etc. Buna Nitrile O-rings are available in different colors and different compounds for particular applications.
