Product Overview
The Seal comes as a part of the Mechanical Overpressure Valve (MOPV) module in the Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) of an anesthesia delivery machine. The MOPV is a mechanical valve that operates regardless of electrical power on or off. It functions as a third level of redundancy to the ventilator's pressure limit control functions, supplying pressure relief. It also functions as a backup in the event of a complete blockage of the exhalation valve system, relieving circuit pressure under failure conditions. The seal is present inside the weight placed in the valve assembly. It seals the gases avoiding leakage. It comes into contact with gases, where the pressure is less than 300 psi. It is corrosion resistant, despite these conditions and hence is highly efficient to use in medical environments.
