Product Overview

A lot of technologists have never scanned on an MR system unless they were using fast spin echo, and many times this technique has been taken for granted. In fact, many people no longer refer to it as fast spin echo or turbo spin echo, they simply call it spin echo. This program reviews the development of FSE and provides an overview of FSE sequences. Also discussed are FSE’s impact on scan time for optimum image contrast and isotropic three-dimensional capabilities.  After completing this training program, you should be able to: 1. Describe the development of FSE and its impact on MRI scan time. 2. Explain the concepts of echo train length and echo train spacing. 3. Review the driven equilibrium pulse sequence. 4. Describe FSE blurring and how it affects image quality. 5. Identify the differences between conventional spin echo and fast spin echo.
