Product Overview
The CSBC, Prodigy, Spare Part, Service Tested is a document used to define the procedure necessary for testing the Prodigy CSBC for service replacements. This document is for current service tested prodigy CSBC. The Combined Single Board Controller (CSBC) Prodigy is a printed circuit board used in the electronics pan. The CSBC provides overall operation and control of the scan table. This CSBC prodigy is made of a composite material known as Epoxy Glass Laminate FR-4. It is a printed wiring board (PWB) is an eight layer rectangular board measuring 7.400" x 8.100". The printed wiring board is mounted in the via four mounting holes located 1/4" from each corner and 2 additional interior mounting holes. It employs an Intel 80C251 micro-controller as its processor. This processor provides 1K of on-board RAM and no on-board ROM. It also have diagnostic LED`s which are used to indicate power supply, failsafe mode and other indications. The controller is clocked at 16 MHz using a crystal. The majority of scanner related programmable logic functionality is contained in the FLEX PLD, an Altera EPF6024AQC208-3 device. Device programming is handled exclusively by the CPU. The CSBC prodigy board consists of sub parts like capacitor, power rectifier, plugs, transistor, chip resistor, isolation transformer. This part is used in products like XR (BMD) Prodigy, Definium 8000, AMX 4, PET Discovery 690, XR (BMD) Prodigy Compact Pro and UL Voluson 730 Pro.
